for both Colourist of the Year and Creative Image of the Year, not once but twice !

The Creative Image of the Year Category is for the very creative, this category showcases individuals who are producing inspirational imagery.
​
The Colourist of the Year Category is for those hairdressers that are the scientist of the salon, calculating, measuring and transforming a client’s hair. An outstanding colourist that keeps control of a clients colour, creates amazing transformations or has rescued clients hair from the brink of disaster then this category is for that hairdresser and is to be awarded and recognised for their colouring talents.

WELCOME TO OUR NEW SALON HOME
After 17 years based in a large salon in Rainham, sisters Michelle Tia and Lisa have relocated to a boutique salon, were they can tailor their service to their guests.
​
They are in a private setting located in Cambridge Road in Rainham.
​
The boutique provides a contemporary stylish and welcoming atmosphere.
​

Creative Image of the Year
Congratulations to our Salon Owner Michelle Tia Liddaird, on Winning Creative Image of the year 2022.

Michelle and Lisa attended the award ceremony held at the Leonardo Royal Hotel, St Pauls in London.
​
Michelle said 'What an honour to be presented such a prestigious award by the fantastic Errol Douglas and Kate Jeffery'.
​
This collection celebrates a colour pallet of pastel tones alongside deep violet browns and vibrant reds. Complimented by a range of textures from soft curls to loose waves. Giving a truly romantic timeless look and feel to the collection.
​
Presenting at Salon International, London
Salon Owner Michelle Tia Liddiard, and Stylist Lisa Kennedy were invited to London, to present their new collection LIBERTINES, at the biggest hairdressing event of the year, Salon International.
Michelle and Lisa, created three looks, using products from colour brand, Crazy Colour International, to create couture, vibrant and abstract styles celebrating Pop Culture.
​
Michelle said ' This is a fantastic platform for hairdressers to share new techniques, and learn from one another'. Lisa said 'Its been so lovely to be able to present on stage again, I have missed Salon International and being surrounded by inspiring hairdressers'.

Boho Chic
This collection celebrates a colour pallet of pastel tones alongside deep violet browns and vibrant reds. Complimented by a range of textures from soft curls to loose waves. Giving a truly romantic timeless look and feel to the collection.
The boho chic look has seen a recent revival.
What once was a very niche style has now evolved into a new wave , seen at event as Woodstock, Coacella, Stagecoach and Lollapolooza.
House Of Elegance
House of Elegance, A beautiful Collection in collaboration with London dress designer Eliza Jane Howell.

The Artifact Art Team, created elegant hairstyles to compliment the stunning gowns.
​
This collection was published in Untold Magazine.

TIMELESS
When Elements of fashion, hair, make up and clothing are timeless master pieces.

The team at Artifact salon had the pleasure of creating styles for the Timeless shoot in support of Charity Organisation, The Wisdom Hospice.
All clothing featured in the collection are Vintage master pieces available at The Wisdom Hospice Shops.

We couldn't be happier that in our first year as Artifact Salon, we gained 7 finalist awards, and WON this award.

Lisa said ' What a fantastic honour to be given such a prestigious Award. This collection will always be a favourite to the Art Team as the first collection launched by Artifact Salon. These awards would not be possible without a very fantastic and talented team, thank you to all those involved'.

SALON AWARDS 2020
We are FINALISTS for Not One, Not Two, But SIX Salon Awards!!

We are so excited to announce that three images from our FLEUR Collection, created by our stylists Tia, Lisa and Megan have gained places as Creative Images Award Finalists for 2020!
​
Our stylist Lisa also gained FINALIST places for Stylist of the year 2020 and Best Salon for Bridal Hair 2020.
​
With our Beautiful Salon Home, gaining a place as Best New or Refurbished Salon 2020.
​
Salon Owner Tia said, 'What a fantastic achievement to be nominated for 6 Awards, and all within our first year as Artifact Salon, congratulations to all involved'.

SALON BUSINESS AWARDS 2020
We are so proud to be named FINALISTS for The Salon Business Awards 2020, Fashion Salon. The image that gained a placed at the prestigious awards, was taken from our Solo Rouge Collection, Photographed in Londons Warren Street Tube Station.
​
Tia said, 'our Art Team worked very hard on this collection and we are so happy to be recognised as one of the leading salons in editorial fashion'.

Solo Rouge Hair Show, London
Salon Owner Tia, and Stylist Lisa were invited to London, to present their new collection Solo Rouge, at the Fellowship Members Night.
Tia and Lisa, created three looks, Two avant-guard looks, combining textures and shapes, and the other a modern take on a blunt bob. These looks create part of the Solo Rouge Collection.
​
At this event, Prestigious Salons from around the UK, present a collection of models depicting their new salon collections.
​
Tia said ' This is a fantastic platform for hairdressers to share new techniques, and learn from one another'. Lisa said ' Its always fantastic fun to be on stage with Tia, we always push ourselves as hairdressers to be as creative as possible'.

M.H.Event Charity Fashion Show
The Stylists at ARTIFACT Salons were asked to take part in a Fashion Show which saw over 60 models walk for 14 designers, from Bridal, to fashion and swimwear.
​
The Hair team would like to say a big thank you to UNITE Professional Haircare products for being their sponsor for such a worth while event.
​
The show was an amazing success and raised over £3,000 for the MIND Charity.
HAIR AND VISION HITS CARDIFF
Our Salon Owner Tia, was invited to Cardiff, for their latest Hair and Vision event.
Tia and the Art Team from ARTIFACT salons, created two looks, one an avant-guard design, combining textures and shapes, and the other a modern take on a blunt bob. Both these looks create part of the Solo Rouge Collection, out later this year.
​
The event was hosted by the president of The Fellowship of British Hairdressing Mr Ken Picton, at the Cornerstone, a converted chapel in Cardiff. The guest were able to ask questions to the artists, take photos and really get a good look at the techniques being showcased in front of them.
Art Team Showcase in London
Fellowship Members night, is an opportunity for hairdressing art teams from around the UK to demonstrate new techniques. This is a fantastic platform for inspiring artists within the hairdressing industry.

Sisters Tia and Lisa represented the salon, showcasing their new collection, Celtic Punk, at the Wella Studio in London, as part of the Fellowship Members Night.
​
Celtic punk was inspired from the 90's catwalk trends of designer Vivian Westwood, and most recently the catwalk collection, Clans of Versace, by Versace.
​
The team were given the opportunity to present their three models, explaining the colour and hair styling techniques, as well as clothes styling.
​
Lisa said, 'its always fantastic to work alongside my sister Tia on a show, we have a great connection and love creating new concepts together'. Tia said ' its always a pleasure to be welcomed at the Fellowship, and the Fellowship members night is a great event that brings industry greats together for a enjoyable education evening'.

Pro Live EXCEL London
The team were invited up to London to represent product brand UNITE, at Pro Live held at Excel in London.
​They presented their new collection Sportika, all hair was styled using the UNITE product range.
​
The collection showcases retro sport styling, with an editorial edge.
​

Creative Showcase in London
Members of the Artist team at presented their first collection of the year, Sirens, at the Fellowship for British hairdressings annual Members Night held at the Wella Studio in London.
​
The collection was inspired by Alexander McQueens Collection, Platos Atlantis. Showcased at Paris Fashion Week.
​
The hairstyles incorporated a variant of texture within the hair, including plaits, curls, and zig zag waves.
Tia Liddiard and Lisa Kennedy, produced two looks that were then photographed and Video, for the Annual Davines World Style Contest.
​
Lisa's look, Imperial, was inspired by HERA Fall Winter Collection by designers Marwan and Khaled.
​
Tia's look, Celtic Punk, was inspired by The Clans of Versace.
​
Both looks were coloured and styled using the Davines Hair Care Range.
